I’m very impressed with the way this transmission shop runs their business, from the great customer service on the first phone call, knowledgeable and helpful staff, top notch facility, quality workmanship, fast turnaround, and I can’t stress this enough as someone else that runs a business, superior communication skills with pictures along the way. I’ll make the 6 hour round trip anytime we have transmission issues with our trucks in the future. Also, from someone that has had all the different brand name transmissions shipped from out of state and installed locally, I think buying from a local builder is the best option. I know these guys will stand behind this build!

Austex Transmission – Review March 2023 - One of my vehicles transmission was beginning to slip gears and generated higher than normal engine RPM’s before shifting. A few months prior to these events I was at another transmission shop and agreed to having the transmission flushed which turned out to be a big mistake. Anyway started checking around for a proven repair shop and was impressed with the reviews at Austex Transmission. Took my vehicle by the shop to speak with a service advisor and was very impressed with the overall knowledge and experience the shop had to offer. The service advisor explained how using a flushing pump skid system to change the fluid in the transmission causes the small ports and clearances inside the transmission internal components to become plugged up with foreign debris that causes the transmission to not function properly. The service advisor at Austex Transmission checked out the vehicle and recommended a complete removal, disassembly, cleaning, overhaul/replace worn parts then re-install. Austex provided upfront price estimates that was reasonable and cost effective for my budget. My vehicle is now back in service providing reliable and efficient transportation. Thanks to the Austex Transmission team, well done, great job, very satisfied customer!!

Sent my vehicle due to a cracked transmission case & burned up rear end & broken axle all due to a bad pinion angle & not aligned correctly. Got the truck hauled over there & quickly parts got ordered trucool 40k got relocated which it looks a lot better & temps were always at the 130ish marks going highway speeds 70 to 75mph its feels a lot better than before like awhole different truck built 6l80e with 6l90 cts-v zl1 2600-2800 circle d torque converter helped it feel a bit more responsive plus 5" aluminum driveshaft made rear feel a lot lighter being paired all new built rear end internally. Y'all guys sure exceeded my expectations.
