Austin Transmission Repair

I was hesitant about trusting this company. I've never heard of this company, Aus-Tex Transmissions was a referral from my regular mechanics. They do not work on transmissions. Wow! What a great recommendation! I will refer this place to any one! They were professional and kept me up to date with the progress of my car. It turned out it was going to take longer than anticipated... not surprising. I was expecting it. They offered to drop me off at work. They also advised me that if they were unable to pick me up after my car was ready, they would send a Lyft ride for me. Sure enough, they were not able to pick me up, but they sent a Lyft ride and texted me the driver's info. My car was fixed (sensor needed to be replace). They even did a cursory wash of my dirty vehicle. I really had a great experience with Aus-Tex Transmissions. I definitely recommend this place!

Aus-Tex was recommended to me by a friend and I couldn't be happier with the service provided. My 2007 Dodge Ram 6.7L Cummins went into "limp mode" that turned out to be a minor mechanical failure. Pepe spent 20-30 minutes to explain to me how the failure affected operation of the vehicle and offer some steps that could be done to prevent failure. No pressure selling, just honest, straight-forward information and experience sharing. And the updates while the service is in progress is the icing on the cake! I'm hooked! These guys will get all of my business!

I've used Austex Transmission for both transmission work and on diesel vans. Pepe knows both of these really well. Austex has always performed the work promptly and at the estimated price. They have also been really good with recommending preventive maintenance on items that are easier to get to when performing a different job (ie since we already have the fan and clutch removed to do job X, lets replace the clutch which are a known failure point).

The only place I trust for our transmission and diesel repairs.
